Art
January 12 to February 2, 2019

Winner of the 1998 Tony Award for Best Play and Winner of the 1996 Olivier Award for Best Comedy, Yasmina Reza’s brilliant play asks the questions: What is art? What is friendship? And which is more important? Life-long friends Serge, Marc and Yvan are about to find out! When Serge spends a small fortune on an unusual piece of modern art, he expects Marc and Yvan to be as excited as he is. Instead, words fly and sparks ignite as the men square off over the canvas. Lines are drawn (both literally and figuratively) and their ensuing battle grows to encompass not just the painting but past failures and personal failings. With white-hot wisecracks and discerning commentary, ‘ART’ is a funny, sophisticated, humorous and provocative evening of theatre.

The Miracle Worker
April 6 to April 28, 2019

Based on the true story, this classic is a powerful account of Annie Sullivan and her student, blind and mute Helen Keller. THE MIRACLE WORKER dramatizes the volatile relationship between the lonely teacher and her charge. Trapped in a secret, silent world, unable to communicate, Helen is violent, spoiled, almost sub-human and treated by her family as such. Only Annie realizes that there is a mind and spirit waiting to be rescued from the dark, tortured silence. Intense, absorbing, and unforgettable, THE MIRACLE WORKER is one of the greatest dramas of the 20th century.
